<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel for aligning a hub shaft and an outer ring of a constant velocity universal joint by operation for meshing both side splines of an end surface of the hub shaft and an end surface of the outer ring of the constant velocity universal joint. <P>SOLUTION: The hub shaft 13 and the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity universal joint 50 are connected by a connecting bolt 70. Both side splines for connecting the hub shaft 13 and the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity universal joint 50 so that torque can be transmitted, are formed on the end surface of the hub shaft 13 and the end surface of the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity universal joint 50. An addendum surface of one side spline and a bottom surface of the other side spline, are formed in a tapered surface inclined to an orthogonal surface to the axis of the hub shaft 13. The hub shaft 13 and the outer ring 60 of the constant velocity universal joint 50 are aligned by mutual contact of the addendum surface and the bottom surface of forming the tapered surface. A caulking part 17 for fixing an inner ring 21 is formed in an end part of the hub shaft 13. The side spline is formed on an end surface of the caulking part 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
