<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing the cost and suppressing degradation in the display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate comprises: a first gate wiring line and a second gate wiring line; an auxiliary capacitance line extending between the first gate wiring line and the second gate wiring line; a first source wiring line and a second source wiring line; a cross-shaped pixel electrode, which is enclosed by the first gate wiring line and the second gate wiring line and by the first source wiring line and the second source wiring line and which comprises a main pixel electrode extending along the first direction and positioned above the auxiliary capacitance line, and a sub pixel electrode extending along the second direction. The second substrate includes a common electrode, which comprises main common electrodes respectively positioned above the first gate wiring line and above the second gate wiring line and extending along the first direction, and sub common electrodes respectively positioned above the first source wiring line and above the second source wiring line and extending along the second direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
