The subject matter described herein relates to a device (104) for dosing of a chemical in a liquid is described. The device (104) includes a dosing unit (116) and a fluid chamber (118) coupled to the dosing unit (116). The fluid chamber (118) is configured to receive the liquid and comprises a regulating means configured to regulate a level of the liquid in the fluid chamber (118). The dosing unit (116) is configured to release a predetermined amount of the chemical in the liquid flowing through the fluid chamber (118) when the liquid reaches a predetermined level to come in contact with a bottom contact surface of the dosing unit (116).
