The device (4) has an opening element (6) e.g. ejector lever, experiencing releasing motion against an opening direction, so that a safety element (17) is released. The motion is realized by pressing force on a furniture flap (1) by a user during a regulating operation. A release unit acting on a safety mechanism is provided at the opening element for the safety mechanism. The release unit is brought into a release position as long as the release unit is actuated from outside. The release position is a condition in order to release the opening element by motion against the opening direction.
