A side-guiding apparatus for a hot strip finishing mill is provided to reduce impact generated when the strip is initially introduced by installing a spring package between a trumpet shaped tube and a guide support. A side-guiding apparatus for a hot strip finishing mill comprises a base frame(16) installed in front of a work roll of the hot strip finishing mill. A guide sliding bed(13) having a screw shaft is mounted on the base frame. Two trumpet shaped tubes(11a,11b) are supported by two guide supports(12a,12b), respectively, and move horizontally. A link arm(24) is assembled on the guide supports through guide blocks(18a,18b) and allows the trumpet shaped tubes to move together. A first impact absorber is installed on an assembly section between the trumpet shaped tube and the guide supports to absorb left/right impact and a deviation force during an insertion of a strip. |
