<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal communication system in which congestion of network is prevented even if a transmission band is not ensured for a request to transmit a video signal simultaneously to a plurality of lines, and degradation of the video signal quality is minimized, and to provide a communication method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A video signal communication system 70 includes a video signal transmitter 78, and a video signal receiver 88. The video signal transmitter 78 converts eight HD SDI signals, for which the priority is set, respectively, into Y/PbPr 301, performs sampling rate conversion on the basis of the band conversion information 306 thus generated, selects IP packets that are assembled and multiples them, creates the band control information 305 from a band control signal 311 received and transmits the multiplexed packet data 304 to the video signal receiver 88. The video signal receiver 88 demultiplexes the multiplexed packet data 401 received, performs sampling rate inverse conversion and S/P conversion on the basis of the band conversion information 405 obtained by restoring and converting the Y/PbPr 403 extracted for each demultiplexed packet thus restoring the original video signal 407. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
