<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption in a portable telephone 10 compared with a case where a second camera module 42 is normally started since the second camera module 42 is allowed to start only in determining whether a user is using the portable telephone 10 or not. <P>SOLUTION: The portable telephone 10 includes two camera modules 40 and 42, etc. When an operation to execute a camera function is performed for example, a determination timer is started in order to measure a time. When a predetermined time (60 seconds) is measured with the determination timer in a non-operation state, the second camera module 42 is started. Besides, face detection processing is performed with respect to an image captured by the second camera module 42.
