<p>This blood sugar monitoring system (10), which is an analyte monitoring system, is provided with: a sensor (12) that detects a plurality of blood sugar values in blood on the basis of a sampling interval; a meal data setting unit (48) that sets information on the basis of meal contents; and a sampling interval setting unit (50) that sets the sampling interval of the sensor (12) using the information on the basis of meal contents that the meal data setting unit (48) has set. It is possible to efficiently monitor the state of blood sugar value change by predicting the change curve in post-meal blood sugar values by means of the information on the basis of meal contents, and then altering the sampling interval.</p> |
