<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor element capable of reducing an inductance which occurs in a substrate with a built-in capacitor, and to provide a substrate with a built-in capacitor having the capacitor element. <P>SOLUTION: In a capacitor element 1, a dielectric layer 13 is interposed between a first electrode layer 11 and a second electrode layer 12. In the first electrode 11, a part of a surface 111 on the second electrode layer 12 side is covered by the second electrode layer 12. The first electrode layer 11 is formed of a metal foil, and the second electrode layer 12 is formed of a thin metallic film or the metal foil. A substrate with a built-in capacitor comprises the capacitor element 1 and an insulating substrate 2. Incorporation of the capacitor element 1 into the insulating substrate 2 is achieved by embedding the capacitor element 1 into the insulating substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
