A method includes providing an electrical connector (102) for a memory card, placing a pick and place cap (104) onto the connector (102), including engaging a set of jaws (112, 114) over a row of connector contacts (106) whilst substantially preventing deformation of the contacts (106), picking up the connector (102) via the cap (104), and placing the connector (102) on a circuit board.
