The apparatus of a first cell communicates with a second cell in relation to a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission of control information by the second cell and data by the first cell to a user equipment (UE) in a range expanded region of the first cell, determines a desired transmission power level for an uplink transmission to the first cell by the UE, and provides the desired transmission power level for the uplink transmission to the second cell. |
