The present invention relates to a device and method for controlling a heating element of an electric range. The device for controlling heating elements of the electric range according to the present invention includes: a plurality of heating elements; an input unit receiving a regulated output value for each of the heating elements from users; a calculating unit calculating the sum of output power for each heating element corresponding to the regulated output value input by the input unit; and a control unit comparing the sum of the output power calculated by the calculation unit with a preset power restriction value and linearly controlling the output of each heating element on the basis of the comparison result. |
