<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera, an image compositing method, and a program for representing a panoramic, expansive feel, and a movement of an object in a magnificent background image without the need of preparing a special wide-angle lens. <P>SOLUTION: Every time image data of each frame that constitutes a moving image is output to a first buffer 5a from an imaging unit 3, a partial background image and a margin part are temporarily stored in a third buffer 5d, and then output to a composition unit 7a.
