<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound core for a transformer which can reduce excitation rush current while achieving miniaturization and lightweight. <P>SOLUTION: A blanking plate block 1 is constructed of electromagnetic steel belts obtained by cutting a slitted electromagnetic steel belt into a desire width, and cut surfaces 2 serving as a connection part are aligned and wrapped therearound. The connection part 2 is fixed to form an iron core block. Then, a blanking plate block 3 is constructed of electromagnetic steel belts obtained by cutting a slitted electromagnetic steel belt into a desire width, and cut surfaces 4 serving as a connection part are aligned and wrapped therearound. The connection part 4 is fixed to form an iron core block inside the foregoing iron core block. Thereafter, a blanking plate block 5 is constructed of electromagnetic steel belts obtained by cutting a slitted electromagnetic steel belt into a desire width, and cut surfaces 6 serving as a connection part are aligned and wrapped therearound. The connection part 6 is fixed to form an iron core block inside the foregoing iron core block.
