<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication quality by reducing ICI occurring in a multi-carrier transmission scheme. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter comprises: a modulation unit which allocates different transmission data to each of a plurality of groups formed by adjacent sub-carriers among a plurality of sub-carriers, modulates the allocated transmission data to a modulation signal, which is orthogonal between adjacent groups, by use of a pulse amplitude modulation scheme, and allocates modulation signals with mutually reverse phases to adjacent sub-carriers in each group; and a radio transmission unit which transmits the modulation signals which the modulation unit allocated to respective sub-carriers by the sub-carriers. A receiver comprises: a radio reception unit which receives signals from the transmitter and separates the received signals by each sub-carrier; and a demodulation unit which combines signals of adjacent sub-carriers by reversing a phase in a group for each group of sub-carriers separated by the radio reception unit, and then demodulates the combined signals by use of the pulse amplitude modulation system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
