<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle and a rack guide mechanism in each of which collision of a rack guide against a housing is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The steering device for a vehicle includes: a rack shaft 20 which is meshed with a pinion shaft 13; a rack guide 51 which guides the movement of the rack shaft 20; and a rack housing 40 which houses the rack guide 51, wherein the rack housing 40 and the rack guide 51 can be brought into contact with each other and can be relatively moved. The steering device for a vehicle includes: a wedge member 53 inserted into a gap between the rack housing 40 and the rack guide 51; and an elastic member 54 which applies a force for pressing the wedge member 53 toward the gap to the wedge member 53. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
