<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging around a liquid droplet ejection head by an inexpensive structure without using a complicated device, and to keep a height of the apparatus low. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head 7 for ejecting a liquid droplet to a recording medium; and a carriage 3 for moving the liquid ejection head in a main scanning direction. A liquid droplet ejection direction of the liquid ejection head 7 is arranged upward, and the liquid droplet is ejected toward a paper sheet 12 conveyed above the liquid ejection head 7. The image forming apparatus includes a recording medium support having a belt member 210 which supports the paper sheet 12, from below, arranged above when the carriage 3 moves in the main scanning direction, and prevents the paper sheet 12 from sagging downward to come into contact with the liquid ejection head 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
