<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved and more economical packaging means particularly for food, particularly for food which is to be cooked in an oven, and particularly for food which can be quickly prepared and is to be cooked in an oven. <P>SOLUTION: A heat-sealable, coextruded composite polymer film includes a substrate layer including a first copolyester material having on a surface thereof a heat-sealable layer including a second copolyester material wherein: (i) the first copolyester material and the second copolyester material are different from each other; (ii) the copolyester of the substrate layer contains an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid of formula CnH<SB POS="POST">2n</SB>(COOH)<SB POS="POST">2</SB>(wherein n is 2 to 8); (iii) the heat-sealable layer contains one or more waxes; and (iv) the composite film is shrinkable or thermoformable; and the use thereof as a packaging film, particularly as, or in the manufacture of, a lidding film for heat-sealing to a receptacle containing a food product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
