<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel circuit capable of achieving high image quality while reducing the number of elements in the pixel circuit, and to provide a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit includes: a luminous element whose cathode is connected with a power source for supplying a first power source voltage; a first transistor whose first terminal is connected with a data line; a second transistor that is connected between the gate terminal and second terminal of the first transistor and is energized based on a first scan signal; a third transistor that is connected between the second terminal of the first transistor and the anode of the luminous element and is energized based on a luminous control signal; a fourth transistor that is connected between the gate terminal of the first transistor and an initialization power source and is energized based on a second scan signal; and a capacitive element that is connected between a power source supplying the voltage of a fixed potential and the gate terminal of the first transistor. In one frame period, during a non-light-emission period, a data signal is applied to a data line, and during a light-emission period, a second power source voltage that is higher than the first power source voltage is applied to the data line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
