AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle which can use regenerative power efficiently by controlling voltage and current at the time of charge/discharge of a capacitor and cause no defect even if discharge voltage of the capacitor lowers.

SOLUTION: An auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle 16 is connected in parallel with an electric generator 2 interlocking with an engine 1 and has a capacitor 8 which stores electric power for supplying it to a load 3. The auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle comprises: a current limit circuit 10 for limiting electric current from the electric generator 2 to the capacitor 8; a converter 11 for converting output voltage of the capacitor 8 to output the converted voltage to the load 3; a second voltage detection circuit 6 for detecting the output voltage of the converter 11; and a rectification circuit D which is connected between the output terminal of the electric generator 2 and the output terminal of the converter 11 and determines the direction from the electric generator 2 to the converter 11 as a forward direction. When the output voltage value of the electric generator 2 which is detected by a first voltage detection circuit 4 is higher than a predetermined value, a switch SW1 between the electric generator 2 and the current limit circuit 10 is turned on to activate the current limit circuit 10.
