Provided is a game system capable of encouraging the establishment of relationships between various players using a particular game. The game system (1) presents a music game and is provided with: at least one game machine (GM); user terminals (8) that are used for establishing relationships between various users; and a storage device (32), which is used for managing authorized players who have been granted the right to use a particular musical composition and which stores user management data (35) describing the relationships between various players in response to the establishment of a relationship using a user terminal (8). Based on the user management data (35), the game system (1) determines linked players who are associated with an authorized player by establishment of a relationship and, based on the results of the determination, grants the right to use the particular musical composition to the linked players.
