PURPOSE: A voltage adjustment device of a distribution system and a method thereof are provided to minimize a power difference between driving power and a target driving power by maintaining an optimized power in each line. CONSTITUTION: A power optimization unit(100) obtains an optimized power value by determining a switch which is a switching target existed on a path. A switch selection unit(200) controls power through the switching by selecting the corresponding switch by moving the switch which is the switching target. A list storage unit(300) modifies a switch list based on the switch finally selected by a switch selecting unit. A confirmation unit(400) confirms the change of the optimized power value by confirming whether the optimized power value is calculated based on all switches. A tap selecting unit(500) selects a tap in which the optimized power value of a bank unit is minimized by changing the tap of a tap switching device in load.
