<p>An information acquiring unit and an object detecting unit are provided to detect the distance to a detected object with accuracy even when the dot pattern is changed during the measurement. The information acquiring device (1) includes projecting optics (100), light-receiving optics (200), memory (27) for holding reference templates based on reference images, and a distance acquiring unit (21b) for referencing the measured image and a reference template, and acquiring distance information based on the positional relationship between a segment area of the reference image and a comparative area of the measured image corresponding to the segment area. The memory holds various types of reference templates corresponding to the spatial spread of the dot pattern, and the distance acquiring unit selects the reference template to be used during the measurement from the various types of reference templates, and then acquires the distance information. In this way, the distance can be accurately measured even when the dot pattern changes.</p> |
