<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an evaluation value generating device, which can generate an evaluation value without deteriorating accuracy even if an output system of a pixel signal in a solid-state imaging apparatus differs. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging section for outputting a plurality of imaging signals corresponding to the pixel signal of the solid-state imaging apparatus including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix; and an evaluation value generating section for generating the evaluation value depending on the imaging signal. The evaluation value generating section includes: a horizontal direction thinning section for thinning the signal in a row direction; a vertical direction thinning section for thinning the signal in a column direction; a vertical direction evaluation value generating section including a vertical direction filter section for extracting a component in the column direction of the signal and generating the evaluation value in the column direction; and a horizontal direction evaluation value generating section including a horizontal direction filter section for extracting a component in the row direction of the signal and generating the evaluation value in the row direction. The signals corresponding to the imaging signal are inputted to the horizontal direction thinning section and the vertical direction thinning section, output of the horizontal direction thinning section is inputted to the vertical direction evaluation value generating section, and output of the vertical direction thinning section is inputted to the horizontal direction evaluation value generating section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
