<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a metal porous body in which a bone thickness of a metal framework gradually decreases from the inner peripheral surface side of an electrode group to the outer peripheral surface side. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a metal porous body comprises: a preparation step of preparing a foamed polyurethane seat 50 having a resin skeleton; a plating step of forming a metal porous sheet 51 having a nickel plating layer covering a surface of the resin skeleton by performing plating treatment for covering the surface of the resin skeleton in the sheet 50; and a roasting step of leaving a metal framework composed of a plating layer as a metal porous body by removing the resin skeleton of the metal porous sheet 51 by thermal decomposition. The manufacturing method further includes a slice step of obtaining two sheet-like metal porous bodies 36 by slicing a metal porous body 60 in which the resin skeleton was removed from the metal porous sheet 51 so as to be a division object into two new metal frameworks.
