The present invention relates to Phragmitis Rhizoma extracts that can suppress variation in central nerves caused by an exposure to electromagnetic waves, and more particularly, to a functional food composition for suppressing damage to nerve cells caused by electromagnetic waves or a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating neurological disorders, containing Phragmitis Rhizoma extracts as active ingredients. The functional food composition or pharmaceutical composition, containing Phragmitis Rhizoma extracts, according to the present invention may suppress damage to nerve cells and therefore may be valuably used for purposes of preventing and treating neurological disorders.
