摘要 The utility model relates to heat-power engineering, specifically to a unit for producing additional electric power as a result of using a secondary resource in thermal power plants, namely the energy of spent exhaust gases, which may be used for the specific needs of the thermal power plant. The technical result obtained in the implementation of this utility model consists in increasing the energy efficiency of a heat-power unit by generating additional electric power and is achieved by means of a unit for producing electric power which contains a turbine mounted in the path of the spent exhaust gases in a flue that constitutes part of the gas path of a vapour gas or steam-power unit of a thermal power plant, the shaft of the turbine being connected to the shaft of an electric generator by a kinematic link in such a way that the mechanical energy of rotation of the turbine shaft is transferred to the shaft of the electric generator.
