The seat has a backrest (R) pivoted relative to a seat frame (S) through a seat bracket (B). The seat bracket is provided with a stop element (5) which blocks further pivoting of the folded backrest on the seat frame to define the minimum distance between the backrest and the seat frame. The stop element is adjustable by pivoting the backrest about a rotational axis (D1) in an adjustment position, and the further pivoting of the backrest relative to the seat frame is blocked by the stop element in the use position of the backrest.
