<p>Provided is a rubber composition for a tire, wherein it is possible to improve fuel efficiency, wet grip performance, wear resistance, and workability. Also provided is a pneumatic tire using said rubber composition. A rubber composition for a tire, the rubber composition containing a diene series polymer, silica, and a compound represented by formula (I), wherein the diene series polymer is a modified diene series polymer obtained by reacting (A) and (B), and the content of the compound represented by formula (I) is 0.1 to 10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component. (A) represents an active conjugated diene series polymer having an alkali-metal terminal and obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene monomer or a conjugated diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer in the presence of (C). (B) represents a modifying agent having a functional group. (C) represents a chemical species obtained by reacting the compound represented by formula (1) with an organic alkali metal compound.</p> |
