A method and device for determining a serving cell group, comprising: a user equipment determining a difference between an uplink delay of a serving cell to be grouped and an uplink delay of a serving cell selected from an existing time advance (TA) group, comparing the difference with a preset grouping threshold, and determining a TA group of the serving cell to be grouped. This application solves the problem for grouping secondary serving cells, so that a terminal can accurately maintain each group, thereby reducing the redundancy management overhead, and improving the user experience.
