The method involves stripping an electric line (10) over a defined length (L) such that a bundle of single strands (12) is exposed. The bundle of single strands is untwisted against a flapping direction of the single strands. The single strands are compressed, and a sealing medium is injected into the single strands. The single strands are completely enclosed by a housing that is made from sealing material. The electric line with a stripped area is inserted into an injection molding tool, where thermoplastic material is used as the sealing medium. An independent claim is also included for a sealing arrangement for an electric line.
