Provided is a configuration for a mount-type battery housing structure, which can maintain a good electrical connection with an electrode layer of a battery element and which can house the battery element of a solid-state battery. A battery housing structure (1) is provided with: a battery element (10) that includes a positive electrode layer (11), a solid electrolyte layer (13), and a negative electrode layer (12); a housing member (20) that houses the battery element (10), and includes a conductive part connected to the positive electrode layer (11) and the negative electrode layer (12) so as to conduct current to each; and an interposing member (40) that is interposed between the battery element (10) and the housing member (20).
