BROADCAST WAVE MONITORING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast wave monitoring apparatus capable of superimposing monitoring information as characters or a graphic within a screen used in common as a TV image area, without deterioration of a received TV image.

SOLUTION: The broadcast wave monitoring apparatus comprises: a TV tuner which receives broadcast waves; a received signal measurement unit for measuring a predetermined measurement item of the broadcast waves received by the TV tuner; and an OSD screen generation unit which generates an OSD screen in which the result of the measurement by the received signal measurement unit is superimposed as OSD superimposed information in a display area. The OSD screen generation unit superimposes the OSD superimposed information in a black belt area of a letter box.
