<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when an LED lighting apparatus and a human body sensor are combined, the human body sensor causes false detection due to noise generated by the LED lighting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A luminaire comprises: an illumination load composed of LEDs; a lighting control circuit part which controls lighting of the illumination load; human body detection means which intermittently projects infrared rays to a light projection area and receives reflected light from a human body synchronously with light projection timing to detect the presence of the human body; and a control circuit part which controls the lighting control circuit part on the basis of an output signal of the human body detection means.
