A polyester resin, a method for preparing the resin, and a toner containing the resin as a binder are provided to improve storage stability, fixation temperature range and image concentration and to lower cost. A polyester resin comprises an acid component which comprises 75-98 mol% of an aromatic dibasic acid and 2-25 mol% of a tri- or more valent acid; an aliphatic diol as an alcohol component; and 0.5-15 wt% of a wax having a melting point of 80-110 deg.C. Preferably the wax is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene wax, polypropylene wax, carnauba wax, montan-based ester wax, beeswax, rice wax and their mixture. |
