PURPOSE: A drum brake is provided to improve operating feeling and braking force by changing the position of the axis of an operating lever. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake(100) comprises a back plate(120), a drum(110), a pair of brake shoes(131,132), an adjuster(170), and an actuating lever(140). The back plate is coupled with the knuckle of a vehicle body. The drum is installed in the front side of the back plate and rotated with a wheel. The pair of brake shoes generates braking force through the friction with the drum. The adjuster supports the pair of brake shoes and adjusts the gap between the inner surface of the drum and brake shoes. The operating lever pushes brake shoes to the inner side of the drum in case a parking cable(141) is pulled. The operating lever is moved along a guide groove(135) while braking. The guide groove is formed in one of the two brake shoes and the rotation center(145) of the operating shoes are guided to be slide in determined section from the brake shoes. |
