In the present invention, an input device is provided with the following: a base having a main surface; a first detection electrode provided on the main surface of the base and arranged along a first direction; a second detection electrode provided on the main surface of the base and arranged along a second direction; a first connection electrode that is provided on the main surface of the base and that connects the adjacent first detection electrode; a first insulation layer provided on the main surface of the base and positioned on the first connection electrode; a second connection electrode that is provided on the first insulation layer and that connects the adjacent second detection electrode; and a second insulation layer that is provided between the main surface of the base and at least one of the first detection electrode, the second detection electrode and the first connection electrode, and that separates at least one of the first detection electrode, the second detection electrode and the first connection electrode from the main surface of the base.
