A display control device is achieved for minimizing graphical processing load and improving readability of an electronic program guide. A liquid-crystal television (1) is provided with an infrared light-receiving unit (119) for receiving an instruction for selecting a program cell from a user, and a CPU (118) for displaying the electronic program guide on an LCD (110). The CPU (118) displays the electronic program guide for changing the display size of both the selected program cell and the group of program cells located in a plus-sign-shaped region having the selected program cell at the center.
