PURPOSE: An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent sudden change of air temperature discharging from an air conditioning case even if an engine is stopped in cooling and heating mode in order to reduce discomfort index for indoor environment. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle comprises an air conditioning case(110), an evaporator(101), and a heater core(102). The evaporator is installed in the upper part of internal air flow direction in the air conditioning case to circulate refrigerant. The heater core circulates cooling water of an engine. A storage tank(140), which stores predetermined amount of the cooling water circulating in the heater core, is installed in the front part of the evaporator. A temperature control door(130), which controls opening degree of a cold air flow path(P1) for bypassing the heater core and a hot air flow path(P2) through the heater core, is installed between the evaporator and the heater core in the air conditioning case in order to store cold and heat energyto the cooling water of the storage tank in cooling and heating modes and circulate the cooling water storing cold and heat energy into the heater core when the engine stops; thereby sudden change of the air temperature discharged from the air conditioning case is prevented. |
