PURPOSE: An apparatus for updating a database for pCell positioning and a method thereof are provided to update a database into recent data which reflects the change of positioning environment, thereby offering more exact positioning result. CONSTITUTION: A database(210) stores reference data of each pCell(pilot cell) ID. A positioning result receiver(220) receives positioning data of the pCell ID. A database extractor(230) extracts reference date of the specific pCell ID from the database. A database updater(240) obtains average data based on the extracted reference data and positioning data. The database updater updates reference date of the pCell ID, which is saved in the database, based on the average data. |
