PURPOSE: An evaporative humidifier is provided to minimize the stench and contamination of a humidification filter while hygienically maintaining the humidification filter by drying the humidification filter when the operation has stopped. CONSTITUTION: An evaporative humidifier comprises a case(6), a water tank(10), a humidification filter(30), a blower(40), and a humidification filter moving tool(50). An air inlet and an air outlet are formed in the case. The humidification filter is arranged in order to sink a lower part of the humidification filter in the water of the water tank. The blower inhales air to the air inlet, passes through the humidification filter, and discharges to the air outlet. The humidification filter moving tool moves the humidification filter in order to sink to the lower part of the humidification filter when operating the evaporative humidifier. The humidification filter moving tool moves the humidification filter so that the humidification filter does not contact with the water of the water tank when stopping operation.
