The device has a filter unit (103) filled with beverage ingredients. The filter unit comprises a filter closure and a filter insert (97) that includes an annular filter frame with a filter device. Depth of the filter insert amounts to 1.1 of depth of a brewing chamber (65). The closure has a cylindrical extension with a ring (29) engaged in the filter insert to close the chamber. The insert is made of elastic material and has a circular flange present between a brewing container (96) and the closure, and grooves to displace a filter.
