PURPOSE: A night vision device and a control method thereof are provided to secure driving convenience through offering additional information to a driver by using a traveling route estimation function and a obstacle distance measurement function. CONSTITUTION: A night vision device comprises a thermal observation camera unit(10), a sensor unit(20), a image processing unit(30), and a display device(40). The thermal observation camera unit outputs captured image through detecting thermal infrared emitted from an object. The sensor unit supplies the information according to vehicle speed and the moving route of a vehicle. The image processing unit predicts vehicle driving route based on the vehicle information and controls the displaying of a caution or warning image according to the object captured into image. The display device indicates the caution or warning image in a screen. |
