PURPOSE: An electrochemical hydrogen transmitting test using a palladium coating layer under a condition of the tensile stress of elastic and plastic regions is provided to successfully perform a hydrogen transmitting test of high-strength metallic materials such as high-tensile steel under the condition of the tensile stress of elastic and plastic regions. CONSTITUTION: An electrochemical hydrogen transmitting test of high-strength metallic materials comprises the following steps: a step for charging a hydrogen atom on one side of a metallic specimen by applying current to the metallic specimen and a platinum electrode by using a solution capable of supplying hydrogen as a medium; a step for measuring the quantity of a flux by oxidizing the hydrogen atom discharged to the other side of the metallic specimen; and a step for performing the hydrogen transmitting test after forming a palladium plating layer while applying predetermined tensile stress to the metallic specimen. |
