The invention relates to method for providing an input to a device comprising the steps of sensing a gesture based interaction, classifying the gesture based interaction and depending on the classification, inputting an instruction to the device, wherein the instruction depends on the realization characteristics of the gesture based interaction, in particular trajectory and/or speed and/or duration in time of the gesture based interaction, and scales with at least one parameter independent of the gesture based interaction. The invention also relates to a corresponding device. To further improve the interaction between a user and a device, feedback providing means can be provided. |
