A container 1 comprises a bottle 2 with a neck 4 and a closure 3. Contained within the orifice of the neck is a perforate mixer 12, having a circular rim 14. The closure can be a cap with a thread 7 complementary to a thread 6 on the bottle neck, a frangible tamper-proof ring 8 can also be included. The bottle and closure are conventional and contain a conventional nutritious powder 9 intended to be mixed with water for consumption. The mixer may include a conical perforate element 15. The conical perforate element can comprise of orthogonally arranged ribs 16 leaving square perforations 17. In use, the closure is unscrewed with its closure ring separating. Water is poured into the container onto the powder and the closure is screwed back on and the container shaken to cause a small proportion of the mixture to flow through the mixer for each shake. This action breaks up lumps of powder, so that when the closure is removed for drinking the mixture is smooth and pleasant to drink. Should any lumps be left, they are prevented from leaving the bottle on drinking, by filtering action of the mixer. |
