<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external device connection unit which makes an external device additionally connected to an existing bathroom television system be remotely operated by a wireless remote controller, and to make the external device perform no unnecessary operation according to an inappropriate operation performed by the wireless remote controller. <P>SOLUTION: When a digital tuner A capable of receiving digital television broadcast is connected to the bathroom television system, a remote control signal from the wireless remote controller is given to the digital tuner A via the external device connection unit 1. The external device connection unit 1 is provided with current detection means 12, 13 for detecting each current consumption of the bathroom television system and the digital tuner A, operating states of the bathroom television system and the digital tuner are decided from detected values by the current detection means, and output of the remote control signal is prohibited on the side of the external device connection unit so that an inappropriate remote control signal is not given to the digital tuner A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
