<p>The present invention addresses the problem of achieving both the improvement of tool holding stability and the improvement of tool runout accuracy by increasing grip force and expanding a grip region compared to conventional tool holders using either a mechanical chuck or a hydraulic chuck. This tool holder comprises a holder main body (2), a pressurization ring (3), a nut (4) for dragging the pressurization ring, a sleeve (5), a pressure chamber (9) around the outer periphery of the sleeve, a cylinder (10) provided in a trunk part (2b) of the main body, a piston (11) inserted into the cylinder, a connecting passage (12) by which the cylinder (10) communicates with the pressure chamber (9), and an operating fluid sealed in the pressure chamber (9). The rotation operation of the nut (4) allows the pressurization ring (3) to reduce the diameter of a grip tube (2a) and simultaneously operate the piston (11), thereby enabling the holding of the tool by a first tool holding hole (a1) and the holding of the tool by a second tool holding hole (5c) at the same time.</p> |
