PURPOSE: A content sharing method and an image display device using the same are provided to easily select an external image display device by displaying a list of external image display devices sharing content using an object displayed on a screen for the image display device. CONSTITUTION: An image display device displays a 'send to' icon through a display unit(S500). When the 'send to' icon is selected, a control unit of the image display device searches for external image display devices sharing content(S510,S530). The control unit indicates a sharing device list including in the searched external image display devices through the display unit(S540). A user interface unit of the image display device receives a selection of the external image display devices included in the list from a user(S550).
