A connector 1 for releasably connecting a post 2 such as an infusion drip post to a fixed or mobile support structure 3 such as wall, walking frame, wheelchair or wheeled stand includes a body 4 formed of opposite end walls 5 defining a body axis, and one or more side walls 6 extending therebetween. The body 4 includes a means for connection 7 to said fixed or mobile support structure 3, wherein the body 4 further has at least one connection mechanism in the form of a receiving aperture 8, fig 4 for a post, the receiving aperture 8, fig 4 comprising an open-ended bore extending through the body substantially transversely to the body axis. The bore is accessible on one open side between the open ends thereof and the connection mechanism further includes a retention means, wherein the bore is adapted to wholly receive a cross-section of said post and the retention means 9 is in the form of a closure sleeve 9a, fig4 for said open side, the closure member being slidable along said body between an open position and a closed position.
